Clear milestones for stone countertops, custom cabinetry, and the installation details that bring the room together.

A practical planning guide

Know the next step before the work begins.

These windows reflect a typical, well-prepared project. Every job is unique, and the actual schedule depends on your approved scope, selected materials, site readiness, and trade coordination.

Your written proposal and confirmed installation appointment control the schedule for your project. Planning ranges are not a guarantee of completion by a specific date.

01

Stone-only projects

Countertops in about 2–3 weeks.

When the material is in stock, the scope is approved, and the site is ready, Viko can move quickly from template to installation.

  1. 01

    1–2 business days

    Initial quote

We review your photos, rough dimensions, material direction, and project scope.
  2. 02

    1–2 weeks

    Design & approval

We confirm the slab, layout, edges, sink details, responsibilities, price, and written scope.
  3. 03

    1–5 days

    Template to installation

For approved, site-ready projects with material in stock, we template, fabricate, and schedule installation.
02

Custom cabinetry + stone

A coordinated 8–12 week process.

Cabinetry has a longer design and build cycle. Stone planning is coordinated with the cabinet work so dimensions, finishes, and installation details support one complete room.

  1. 01

    1–2 days

    Consultation

We study the room, storage needs, style, budget, and overall project goals.
  2. 02

    1–2 weeks

    Design & drawings

Layouts, finishes, hardware, stone, appliances, and key details are coordinated for approval.
  3. 03

    4–8 weeks

    Cabinet fabrication

Custom cabinetry is built for the approved design and prepared for installation.
  4. 04

    2–3 weeks

    Stone fabrication

Stone planning may happen alongside cabinetry or after cabinet installation, depending on the project.
  5. 05

    2–3 days

    Installation

Cabinet and stone installation is coordinated with any required plumbing, electrical, or other trades.

Why stone projects move efficiently

One team. Direct communication. Fewer handoffs.

01

In-house focus

Fabrication and installation decisions stay close to the people doing the work.

02

Clear approvals

Material, edges, openings, seams, and responsibilities are confirmed before cutting.

03

Prepared sites

Early coordination helps ensure cabinets, appliances, access, and trades are ready.

04

Active updates

We communicate scheduling changes, site conditions, and next steps as the work advances.

What can change the schedule

The room, material, and decisions all matter.

  • Material availability and slab reservation
  • Design revisions and approval timing
  • Cabinet and appliance readiness
  • Site access, wall conditions, and structural work
  • Plumbing, electrical, and other trade coordination
  • Specialty details, seams, cutouts, and complex fabrication

Installation day

A prepared space makes for a smoother finish.

Before we arrive

Clear the work area, protect valuables, confirm access, and make sure agreed cabinet, appliance, demo, and trade work is complete.

During installation

Expect noise, dust, limited room access, and temporary loss of sinks or cooking surfaces. We protect the work zone and clean our immediate area.

After installation

Final plumbing, electrical, appliance, wall, paint, or trim work may still be required when those items are outside Viko's written scope.

Rush timing

Need it sooner?

Rush scheduling may be possible when the material, shop capacity, site, and required trades are ready. We confirm availability and any added cost in writing.

Delayed start

Planning ahead?

We can plan around a future start date. Material reservation, price, storage, deposits, and expiration dates are confirmed in the written proposal.
